How to Use This Site.
The information on this site is of two orders. 1. Monographs. 2. Articles.
In that respect it contains a significant amount of information, which is
being continually added to.
Scattered through the many pages you find a Search this Site' search
engine which is provided by Master com. They update the site at
fortnightly intervals. Accordingly articles and monographs added after the
update will not appear on the site search engine until Master com next
updates the site.
Simply type your keyword into the search box, and click search. As an
example if one types in the word Cinnamon' there are currently 41 onsite
references to cinnamon. It is all quality information. If one enters
Volatile Oils' currently it will list 55 documents, or if you
enter Essential oils it will list 42 documents which are relevant to your
query. Each reference is a link direct to the information. In this way you
may add considerable depth to your original query. Alternatively just
browse the titles on the bookshelf.
The monographs will provide good introductory information in respect of a specific
entity, either as a herb, spice or a derivative, e.g. specific plant parts
or a substance which is extracted from a vegetable or Apis (Bee) source. All of
which are used in the preparation of herbal medicines. A plant image
thumbnail browser its provided at the bottom right of the main library
page.
The articles will provide information, either specifically, as it relates
to production processes. Alternatively the articles will provide
information on a wide range of topics as it relates to Herbal Medicine.
If your query leads you to information
held by Pub Med or Medline then the following link will take you to an
onsite tutorial concerning those data bases.
